Dow Corning & Univar jointly participated at XXIV Technical Congress of Spanish Coatings Association, ASEFAPI, in Barcelona’s Congress Palace on November 8^th. The participation in this congress was organized by our channel partner Univar and sponsored by Dow Corning.  267 representatives of 110 coatings companies belonging to ASEFAPI attended to this event, a significant and relevant picture of companies with facilities in Spain operating in both local and global markets.

Juan Carlos Corcuera, Coatings Technical Account Specialist, made a presentation named” New Dow Corning® 87 & 88 Water Repellent additives”.  The speech was of great interest for the audience and allowed them to understand the value of this technology for their formulations, processes and final customers. Presentation was focused on product performance and cost savings versus current competitive offer of silicone resin emulsion technology in the decorative market. This allowed us to attract customers’ interest on this technology not only for decorative paint but other industrial and higher value applications, together with a great Dow Corning brand promotion.
